Giambattista Valli Automne Hiver 2014 2015

Le défilé Giambattista Valli nous a offert un vrai dégradé de couleurs. Ce sont des tenues black and white aux motifs zébrés qui ont ouvert le défilé, suivies de palettes rose pâle & rouge puis enfin de bordeaux. Une collection très élégante composée de jupes et de robes courtes et évasées, et de vestes larges. Les pantalons ont été complètement épargnés laissant place à des tenues plus féminines. Giambattisa Valli s'est principalement inspiré de la rose qui était présente tout au long de la collection, sous forme d'imprimé mais aussi de broderie. La dentelle était peu présente mais constituait un élément majeur dans la réalisation de certaines tenues: des détails comme les cols étaient fait de dentelle, donnant aux tenues un aspect plus romantique. Le styliste a aussi joué avec le volume des vêtements, ce qui leur donnait un côté plus moderne et original. Le mélange de ce volume, souvent rassemblé en dessous de la taille, et d'une taille au contraire très cintrée cassait la simplicité des tenues.

On aime les accessoires flashy qui créent un décalage avec la sobriété des couleurs utilisées pour la plus part des vêtement, et qui donne plus de fraîcheur à la collection.

Cet hiver, la femme Valli est une femme classe et moderne, n'hésitant pas à mettre des décolletés plongeants.

PFW: Viktor & Rolf Couture Fall Winter 2015/2016 - "Wearable Art"

This wednesday Viktor and Rolf presented their latest Haute Couture collection in Paris they named "Wearable Art". If you don't know it yet, the two designers revealed they would follow the steps of Jean Paul Gaultier by only focusing on Haute Couture. This show truly showed how fashion is a full art - wearable art to use their own words. While a lot of people question the true meaning of Couture, defining it as a bunch of expensive clothes you will never wear, Viktor and Rolf got things straight: fashion should not be considered only as a way to look good and following trends is boring - even though it is kind of important since it portrays a certain generation. Designers' purpose doesn't only consists with finding what are going to be the new trends. Indeed, it is absolutely essential for them to look forward and create a new fashion which is going to be the illustration of our era, but it is also important for them to explore past. Fashion is much more than art, not only does it reflect our personnality and place us in the time where we belong, but it also allow us to travel through space and time.
