This last collection was inspired by mothers, and not only the clothes but the models themselves had a link with motherhood. Indeed, the show included pregnant women, babies and children. However, the staging was as important as the outfits., outfits that were typically Dolce & Gabbana (you'll see why when you see the pictures below). Most gowns were decorated with red roses, sometimes sparkling and with golden stems. We've also seen a lot of leitmotifs concerning mothers - obviously - and love, such as "I love you mamma", "Mamma se la mia regina" or "Amore per sempre". A couple of dresses had an image of Saint Mary and Jesus printed on them, which not only reminded us of the theme of the collection, but also of Dolce and Gabbana's personal style. The show ended with dresses on which were printed drawings made by Domenico Dolce's nephews and nieces.
The most important accessories were the huge headphones decorated with pearls and precious stones. Some were even attached with a crown, and others had fur.
Basically, the show was really interesting for it was a real show with different kinds of models - different ages and body shapes - that perfectly reflected the inspiration behind the collection.
