"Shocking". It was the name given to the last Armani Privé show, as a reference to Elsa Schiaparelli and her "shocking pink". Indeed, the show opened on pink jackets and black velvet trousers before letting in different shades of blue, pruple and green.
Models had androgynous looks: black short messy hair that kind of reminded us of punk. “My first inspiration was to bring my drawings to life, to have all the girls look the same—black hair cuts, a similar allure,
like a sketch.” said Giorgio Armani to explain the choice of haircut.
Lurex threads and Swarovski crystals were glowing on the clothes and silk fringes were swinging as the models walked the runway, transforming these pieces into living art.
As the show went on, we started to notice blue and green streaks on feather coats and straight pants
and at one point, black, blue and green strokes that made some outfit a bit vangoghish.
Towards the end of the show, everything was getting bigger and shinier. Every key color, texture and fabric met in these finale outfits. There were black velvet dresses, some were drowning under feathers and other were shining so bright it alsmost seemed unreal.
