Top 10 Spring Summer 2015 trends

We are not going to get into flower power or pastel colors that are characteristic trends of Spring Summer collection. Instead we selected the most important and most seen Spring Summer 2015 trends, starting with the romanticism evoked by white lace and ending with the much vaunted lace-up sandals.

1. White lace and embroidery
Looks like a romantic vibe has hit this season's runways. To go with the hot weather, designers decided to use a lot of white lace and delicate fabrics besides the typical white summer dress we saw almost everywhere.
Also seen at Chloé, Erdem...
Valentino, Roberto Cavalli

2. Total denim look
Denim might be the most timeless fabric, but spring summer 2015 collections have introduced a total new way to wear denim: the total denim look. If there's one lesson you should get from this season's collections, it's that too much denim is never too much.
Also seen at ICB, Chloé, Michael Kors...
Fendi, Gucci, Stella McCartney

3. Nude dresses
Simplicity and elegance. Whether you are at the beach or in the city, there is no wrong place to wear a wavy nude dress during summer.
Also seen at: Lanvin, Vionnet, Ozgur Masur...
Stella McCartney, Alberta Ferretti, Valentino

4. Romantic Bohemian
Romantic Bohemian is probably the most seen and most talked about trend. Why? Because we love it when designers transport us to an other era and still manage to add their own style and some modernity to it. If you haven't turned hippie yet, well, here's an opportunity.

Also seen at Marchesa, Etro, Paul&Joe...
Emilio Pucci, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli

5. Fishnet
It was used in a very interesting way, like an accessory item of clothing that you can wear over your clothes without being too warm. Perfect to complete your summer look and bring originality to it. Balenciaga actually used different types of fishnets, varying the size.
Also seen at Alberto Zambelli, Katya Leonovich...
Balenciaga, Versace, Akris

6. Fringes
Fringes were everywhere during the spring summer 2015 fashion week. Not only did we saw them on clothes, but also on accessories and shoes. They added to the seventies look like in Alberta Ferretti or were used in a more modern way in Sonia Rykiel.
Also seen at Etro, Marco de Vincenzo, Emilio Pucci, Marchesa...
Alberta Ferretti, Sonia Rykiel, Proenza Schouler

7. Gingham prints
Prints were so diversified. Not only did we see flower prints, animal prints, points, stripes and more, but gingham prints were probably the ones that illustrated summer the most and gave a rural and conventional side to the collections.
Also seen at Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Tsumori Chisato...
Michael Kors, Altuzarra, Bottega Veneta

8. Transparency
Sexy and feminine. Lace or transparent and delicate fabrics that unveil the skin, sometimes slightly hidden behind sequin flowers like in Blumarine. Transparency gave a very sexy and feminine touch to the collections.
Also seen at Dolce & Gabbana, Manish Arora, Alexis Mabille, Valentino...
Elie Saab, Rochas, Blumarine

9. Khaki
Chanel's suede pieces, Marc Jacob's military girls and Ralph Lauren's safari inspired looks. As you can see, even if khaki is a classic that always finds its way up to the runway, you have to appreciate how varied it was used this time.
Also seen at Sonia Rykiel, Ángel Schlesser...
Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren

 10. Gladiator sandals
Used white white lace and nude dresses, suede pieces, with everything really. Designers pushed the limit to wearing gladiator sandals by combining them with every type of fabric and piece of clothing.
Also seen at Alexander McQueen, Rodarte, Thakoon...
Valentino, Chloé

Harry Styles, a fashion icon who breaks the rules

Harry Styles is known for being part of the well-known band One Direction, but also for his outfits and his taste for fashion. Indeed, at 21 years old only, the singer's looks helped him gained eminence in the fashion world, even though he is already considered a fashion icon. Harry's style is very particular. He usually wears extra-skinny jeans, printed shirts widely unbuttoned and boots. He wears a lot of Saint Laurent – which is doubtless his favorite brand – as well as some Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. He kind of is the new Mick Jagger, in terms of fashion. In fact, his style could be described as rock n' roll chic, which explains his love for Saint Laurent – whose image was reinvented by Hedi Slimane . If Harry was a brand, he would definitely be Saint Laurent, which is one of the biggest names in fashion nowadays, especially in menswear. We would love seeing him walk for the iconic brand he does justice and is loyal to. But you know that for

PFW: Viktor & Rolf Couture Fall Winter 2015/2016 - "Wearable Art"

This wednesday Viktor and Rolf  presented their latest Haute Couture collection in Paris they named "Wearable Art". If you don't know it yet, the two designers revealed they would follow the steps of Jean Paul Gaultier by only focusing on Haute Couture. This show truly showed how fashion is a full art - wearable art to use their own words. While a lot of people question the true meaning of Couture, defining it as a bunch of expensive clothes you will never wear, Viktor and Rolf got things straight: fashion should not be considered only as a way to look good and following trends is boring - even though it is kind of important since it portrays a certain generation. Fashion should be considered as art on the same level as painting, architecture, poetry, music... If you are going to spend tons of money on a painting, why not on an outfit ? Both are different kinds of art. Anyway, it is interesting to see how the show evolved. The first looks consisted on denim sm
